Locals ask Dr. Lillian Aber to explain herself why she dressed up in UPDF uniform during clean up drive in Kitgum.

Many people were shock on seeing the woman member of parliament donning in a UPDF uniform in Kitgum municipality.

A joint security forces comprising of UPDF headed by the 505 Brigade Commander, Col Opira Patrick, Uganda Police and Uganda Prison Service joined the leadership of Kitgum district and the Municipality in a clean up campaign in the Central Business Area of Kitgum Municipality which was ahead of this year's Tarehe Sita celebrations held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Bugweri district headquarters.

Hon. Dr. Aber Lillian, the Kitgum district Woman Representative flagged off the clean up drive at Kitgum Main Market building and she was joined by the Kitgum district deputy RDC, Hajji Marijan Walire, deputy Mayor, Hon Kidega Patrick Paul, DPC and DISO among others during the cleaning drive.

Toya David Kilama , a resident in Kitgum asked himself, 

"Is Hon. Lillian Aber also in UPDF already?" in the comments section of a Facebook post about the clean drive.

Abraham Prince, with strong knowledge that military uniforms are only worn by security personnels, asked himself,

"Why is she in Army uniform?"
